This role requires expertise in natural language processing, machine learning, and a keen interest in applying AI to the marine industry.
Responsibilities
- Design and develop large language models tailored for marine-specific applications, such as vessel asset verification, maintenance record analysis, and report publishing.
- Fine-tune LLMs to process and generate accurate, context-aware responses for marine-related queries, including vessel specifications, ownership records, and regulatory compliance.
- Collaborate with data scientists, engineers, and product teams to integrate LLMs into Homifax’s asset management platform and marine asset listing services.
- Build and curate high-quality datasets for training models, incorporating marine-specific data such as vessel registries, maintenance logs, and market trends.
- Optimize model performance for scalability, latency, and accuracy in production environments.
- Stay up-to-date with advancements in NLP and LLMs, applying best practices to enhance model capabilities and user experience in the marine sector.
- Ensure ethical AI practices, including bias mitigation and compliance with data privacy and maritime regulations.
- Provide technical documentation and present model performance metrics to stakeholders.
