We are expanding our innovative platform to serve the general aviation and private jet sector, empowering aircraft owners, operators, and service providers with trusted, data-driven solutions. By leveraging advanced AI and large language models, Homifax aims to streamline aviation asset management and enhance operational efficiency.

Job Summary

We are seeking a talented Large Language Modeler to join our AI team and develop cutting-edge language models tailored for the general aviation and private jet sector. The successful candidate will design, train, and deploy LLMs to support Homifax’s aviation asset management platform, enabling automated insights, natural language interfaces for asset verification, and intelligent report generation. This role requires expertise in natural language processing, machine learning, and a passion for applying AI to aviation challenges.

Responsibilities

  • Design and develop large language models to support aviation-specific applications, such as aircraft asset verification, maintenance record analysis, and compliance reporting.
  • Fine-tune LLMs to process and generate accurate, context-aware responses for aviation-related queries, including aircraft ownership records, operational data, and regulatory requirements.
  • Collaborate with data scientists, engineers, and aviation specialists to integrate LLMs into Homifax’s asset management platform.
  • Build and maintain datasets for training models, ensuring high-quality, aviation-specific data related to aircraft, maintenance logs, and regulatory compliance.
  • Optimize model performance for scalability, latency, and accuracy in production environments.
  • Stay current with advancements in NLP and LLMs, applying best practices to enhance model capabilities and user experience.
  • Ensure ethical AI practices, including bias mitigation and compliance with data privacy and aviation regulations (e.g., FAA, EASA standards).
  • Provide technical documentation and present model performance metrics to stakeholders.

Qualifications

  • Master’s or Ph.D. in Computer Science, Machine Learning, NLP, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
  • 3+ years of experience in developing and deploying large language models or NLP systems.
  • Proficiency in deep learning frameworks (e.g., TensorFlow, PyTorch) and NLP libraries (e.g., Hugging Face, spaCy).
  • Strong programming skills in Python and experience with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, GCP, Azure) for model training and deployment.
  • Familiarity with general aviation or private jet operations, including aircraft records, maintenance processes, or regulatory frameworks, is a plus.
  • Experience with fine-tuning LLMs for domain-specific applications and handling large-scale datasets.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work in a collaborative, fast-paced environment.
  • Strong communication skills to explain complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
  • Knowledge of ethical AI practices and data privacy regulations (e.g., GDPR, CCPA) is preferred.

Benefits

  • Competitive salary with performance-based bonuses.
  • Comprehensive health, dental, and vision insurance plans.
  • 401(k) with company match.
  • Flexible remote work environment with travel allowances for occasional in-person collaboration.
  • Opportunities for professional growth in AI and aviation technology.
  • Generous paid time off and holidays.
